Update – Another (earlier?) plot synopsis reads as follows:
“Two men. Living on the exact opposite side of the world. When one sleeps, the other one is awake.
But this is no metaphor. They actually dream each other. They are, in some strange way, the same person.
They just don’t know it.
Elkjaer lives in Oslo and is a ski jumper trying to keep up with the competitive jumping world. His father is seventy years old and wants to get divorced, Just when Elkjaer was unexpectedly presented with the chance to regain an adolescent love, all due to a picture of him that ended up published on an Oslo newspaper after a snow storm.
Yoshi lives in Shanghai and is an account manager struggling with the pressures of a multi national. Lately, he’s been obsessed with the pictures of a girl he found on the net. But suddenly, that precise girl starts working in the same office as him. Eventually he’ll have to decide between reality and fiction. He occasionally visits his father – a widow and depressed men – who is also a handcraft firework maker. He may not the best person to seek advice to.
Both accepted loneliness as a way of life – maybe because they couldn’t find each other. But things are about to alter. This film will observe and recount this intense moment of their lives until things lead to a dramatic resolution. Both stories will unfold, during which both get the chance, not only to be with the girl of their dreams, but also the chance to meet each other – even though of course, they are not supposed to do so.”
