Here’s a first official look at Okja, the upcoming action science-fiction drama movie directed by South-Korean Filmmaker Joon-ho Bong (who helmed Snowpiercer) based on a script he co-wrote with Jon Ronson and starring Seo-Hyeon Ahn, Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Giancarlo Esposito, Devon Bostick, Lily Collins, Steven Yeun, Shirley Henderson, Daniel Henshall, Hie-bong Byeon, Je-mun Yun, and Woo-sik Choi:
“A young girl named Mija (Seo-Hyeon Ahn) risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja.”
What kind of animal can it be? A newly-discovered species? A GMO pet? Or just some mutant created by mother nature?
The film has yet to get an official release date, sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
