Plot:
“A landscape gardener (Kate Winslet) with a taste for the unconventional is invited to design one of the fountains at the Palace of Versailles. As she battles with the weather, the perilous rivalries at the court of Louis XIV and her own private demons, she finds herself drawn closer to the formality and enigma of Andre Le Notre (Matthias Schoenaerts) the architect who hired her.”

Kate Winslet looks lovely in those period outfits!

Besides Kate Winslet, the cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Alan Rickman, Stanley Tucci, Helen McCrory, Steven Waddington, and Pauline Moran.

Here’s a first official look at The Last Knights, an upcoming action adventure movie directed by Japanese Filmmaker Kazuaki Kiriya and starring Clive Owen, Morgan Freeman, Cliff Curtis, and Tsuyoshi Ihara:

THE LAST KNIGHTS

From the plot synopsis it definitely sounds like the story of the film was heavily inspired by the Japanese story of the 47 Ronin. So is it just yet new take on the same story but with a different setting? Anywya, since it’s starring Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman, I’ll give it a try!
