Director Rob Marshall is working on the movie Into The Woods, an upcoming comedy fantasy musical film produced by Disney. The film is based on the Broadway musical of the same name by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim. It is starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, and Lilla Crawford. Take a look to the movie logo:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Into The Woods – Meryl Streep ventures into the woods as the witch who wishes to reverse a curse so that her beauty may be restored.

And here’s the official plot synopsis:

Plot:
“Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.”

About the cast:
– Meryl Streep as the witch
– Emily Blunt as the baker’s wife
– James Corden plays the baker
– Anna Kendrick plays Cinderella
– Chris Pine plays Cinderella’s Prince
– Johnny Depp plays the big bad wolf
– and Lilla Crawford plays Little Red Riding Hood

Foxcatcher Movie Trailer

Here’s the first official movie trailer of Foxcatcher, the upcoming drama movie starring Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo, Sienna Miller, and Vanessa Redgrave:

FOXCATCHER

Based on the shocking true story.

Plot:
“The film tells the story of Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum), who sees a way out from the shadow of his more celebrated wrestling brother Dave (Mark Ruffalo) and a life of poverty when he is summoned by eccentric multi-millionaire John du Pont (Steve Carell) to move onto his estate and train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Desperate to gain the respect of his disapproving mother (Vanessa Redgrave), du Pont begins ‘coaching’ a world-class athletic team and, in the process, lures Mark into dangerous habits, breaks his confidence and drives him into a self-destructive spiral.”

John du Pont was a really crazy dude… Steve Carell doesn’t really look like him: Carell rather looks like Gru from Despicable Me… but am still impatient to see his performance as a crazy multi-millionaire murderer!

The release date of Foxcatcher has been pushed back to 2014.
