Lance Sloan, an executive from Warner Bros confirms that there’s a Mortal Kombat movie ahead of us:

“The other thing that’s important to probably highlight is that we’re preparing right now for the featured film with the same kid. Kevin Tancharoen directed the digital series for us. Before that he did a renegade video that he put up on YouTube. And we sent the piracy people after him, to take it down and put him in jail. And cut to a couple months later he was directing the digital series for us. And now he is at the helm of a forty, fifty million dollar feature.”

And here’s the possible plot according to the online rumor:

Plot:
“The live-action reboot will follow a lowly unlucky supermarket employee who discovers that he has out of this world powers and must decide between good and evil, even though the evil side has helped him discover his true potential and who he really is.”

If Kevin Tancharoen is helming the film then I’m pretty sure it will be a hit. His “renegade video” was indeed awesome and he’s a real fan of the game.

A short plot synopsis of the upcoming Twilight zone movie has leaked online:

Plot:
“The film follows a test pilot who winds up breaking the speed of light; when he puts down his craft, he discovers that he’s landed a bit late for supper – 96 years late.”

According to Einstein’s theory, when you reach relativistic speed it’s like getting in a bubble in which time slows down, but outside your bubble time is supposed to flies as usual. So the plot synopsis of The Twilight Zone movie, with its time travel of a sort, isn’t farfetched, it would actually be based on hard science. But will there there a real fantasy twist beyond this synopsis?

The film is developed by Apian Way, Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company. There’s no director announced yet, and still no official release date.
