Scriptwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have been hire by Producer J.J. Abrams and Paramount to pen the script of the upcoming movie adaptation of Micronauts.

The Micronauts toyline consisted of action figures, vehicles, robots, play sets, and accessories which used a universal, 5-millimetre inter-connective design. As for backstory, the Micronauts originate in the Microverse, a microscopic series of diverse habitats that are linked together in the fashion of molecule chains and they somehow end up trapped on earth.
