From what I heard the pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), whose ship is named Queen Anne’s Revenge and whose daughter is played by Penelope Cruz, is a kind of Captain Nemo utilizing some new-style technology. He has been described as the nastiest pirate ever! But I doubt he could be smarter than Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
