Prepare yourself for something big,
something magical!
Plot:
“When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.”
The latest remake of Karate Kid is already a box office success sot it’s no wonder that there are talks about a movie sequel to Karate Kid in the air. And I’d be glad if Karate Kid 2 was greenlit because Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith make a hell of team. Director Harald Zwart would be interested in helming the Karate Kid 2:
“Every now and then we discussed the sequel. The truth is, when you see Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, they’re like a really good film couple.
[…]
I personally think it’s now so much on its own two feet, given the success, that it would be interesting to see where we could take it without ever thinking about the old movies.”

And I guess both Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan would be glad to reprise their roles for a Karate Kid sequel. So I guess it’s almost a done deal: we may expect the movie Karate Kid 2 to be released in the next 2 years.

Never Let Me Go is an upcoming sci-fi drama thriller movie directed by Mark Romanek and based on Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel of the same name. The cast includes Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, Sally Hawkins, and Charlotte Rampling. The film should be released on October 1, 2010. Here’s the first official movie trailer of Never Let me Go:
NEVER LET ME GO
Plot:
“An alternate history story of a woman who, as she reflects on her private school years in the English countryside, reunites with her two friends to face the dark secrets buried in their communal past. With no contact or knowledge of the outside world during their years at the boarding school, they discover they are clones, born and raised for the sole purpose of providing organs for transplants.”
I have mixed feelings for the movie Never let me Go… On one hand the story is definitely interesting. But on the other hand the premise is both horrible and dumb, come on, the word clone is just a fancy name for younger twin! If you are human then your twin, your clone, can be but human and have a soul too! So that boarding school, which is actually an organ farm, is just plain wrong and horrible… And I really doubt that any country would allow the creation of such a barbaric institution.
Anyway, the movie Never Let Me Go still looks like a movie worth watching.
:)
I’m still trying to get interested in this movie, but well… How to get thrilled by a movie about owls? Even owl warriors… I really wonder how Zack Snyder came to helm the movie Legends of the Guardians.

Here’s a first official look at the Smurfs, the upcoming fantasy comedy movie directed by Raja Gosnell. The film blends CGI and live action (like Alvin and the Chipmunks):
