Letters to God is an upcoming drama movie directed by David Nixon and starring Ralph Waite, Bailee Madison, Maree Cheatham, and Robyn Lively. It’s a heartbreaking story revolving around a boy suffering from cancer and a postman who receives the letters the boy sends to God… The movie Letters to God will have a limited release on April 9, 2010.
Here’s the official movie trailer of Letters to God:
LETTERS TO GOD
Sometimes we are all searching for a reason to believe
Inspired by a true story
From one of the producers of Fireproof and Facing the Giants.
Believe in Love!
Plot:
“His days had been filled with climbing trees, soccer games, and love from his family. Then one day, 9-year-old Tyler Doherty learned a new word – cancer. Brady McDaniels; life was spiraling out of control. The letter carrier had little reason to keep going, until one day he met young Tyler. The result is about what happens when a beleaguered postman must decide what to do with the prayer letters written by a boy stricken with cancer. ”
I didn’t like Fireproof which was a movie for bigots… But Letters to God looks much better: it’s a Christian movie with a real plot and that talks about a real issue! Letters to God will not only appeal to the evangelical market segment, but will most likely reach a wider public.
After watching this Letter to Gods trailer, what do you think? Is it a film done by and for religious bigots? Or do we have a great movie ahead?
