Iron Man 2 Song

I’m not much fan of those old dudes of AC/DC, but the song of theirs chosen for Iron Man 2 doesn’t sound that bad (but not as good as the Black Sabbath song from the first film):

AC/DC Shoot to Thrill (with Iron Man 2 footage!)

For good music, I’ll wait for Tron Legacy and Daft Punk!

Shia Labeouf Wall Street 2

Actor Shia Labeouf got a lead role in Wall Street Money Never Sleeps, aka Wall Street 2, the upcoming movie sequel to Oliver Stone’s Wall Street. I’ve been wondering if Shia Labeouf has any real smattering of the art of investment. Well if what he told to USA Today is true, I’d say Shia Labeouf do have some impressive trading skills (or was it luck?):

Wall Street 2 Trailer

“I opened up an account when I first met Oliver. It was $20,000. This morning, it was $297,000.”

Shia Labeouf
(talking to USA Today, here)

So Shia Labeouf’s initial investment has been multiplied by 14. Let’s assume that he met Director Oliver Stone 5 years ago (but it’s probably less), this would imply an average rate of return of 172% per year! If Shia Labeouf could keep such a profitability I’d suggest him to quit acting and become a full-time trader. But I now think that he just told some BS to USA Today, or that the journalist misunderstood the final amount (but then even if it’s actually $29,700 that would mean a return rate of 8% per year which would still be a feat)… I’d rather suggest Shia Labeouf to do more research and also to take some new math courses… Or maybe he’s training to play the role of Maddof?

Anyway, here some new pictures of Wall Street 2:

Gossip: Shia Labeouf and Carrey Mulligan, who both star in Wall Street 2, are now a couple!

Last AirbenderTwo new character posters of the Last Airbender have been unveiled:

Those posters feature Dev Patel as Zuko, prince of the Fire Nation, and Noah Ringer as Aang the Last Airbender. Actually Aang is more than the last Airbender, he’s the last incarnation of the Avatar, the only human able to control all the four elements (Water, Earth, Air, Fire).

Let Me In Movie

Let Me In, an upcoming fantasy thriller movie directed by Matt Reeves and starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, and Richard Jenkins. It’s a remake of the Swedish movie ‘Let the right one in’ which was itself based on a novel John Ajvide Lindqvist. The release date of Let me is set for October 1, 2010.

Let Me In Trailer

LET ME IN

Plot:
“A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.”

Director Matt Reeves what he’s been working on this remake:

“It’s very much an Americanization of the tale that John Ajvide Lindqvist tells. [..] It’s so much about that period of preadolescence, that feeling of being a child and of being bullied, the difficulties of growing up. It’s such a beautiful coming-of-age story, in addition to being such a terrific genre story. [..] I really wanted to put you, even more so, into the point of view of the boy and understand his childhood as vividly as it comes across in the book.”

Director Matt Reeves

I haven’t seen the original movie, but since Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz, both great young actors, have the lead roles in the remake, I think I’m going to wait for Matt Reeves’ Let Me In!

Get him to the Greek Movie

Get him to the Greek is an upcoming comedy movie spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The movie is focusing on the out-of-control British rock star Aldous Snow (Rusell Brand), and Aaron (Jonah Hill), a music-company intern who must accompany Snow to a concert at LA’s Greek Theater. Get him to the Greek, directed by Nick Stoller, will be released on June 11, 2010.

Here’s a first look at Jonah Hill and Russell Brand in the movie Get him to the Greek:

(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)

Plot:
“Aaron Greenberg (Jonah Hill) is a driven, idealistic young college graduate who works as an intern at a record company. Aaron is given his big break when he is sent to transport flaky English musician Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to a concert at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater.”

Russell Brand was awesome in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And judging from the pictures above I’m confident he will deliver the same kind of crazy performance in Get him to the Greek!
:)

The Experiment Movie

The Experiment is an upcoming psychological thriller movie directed by Paul Scheuring and starring Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Travis Fimmel, Cam Gigandet, Clifton Collins Jr., and Maggie Grace. It’s a remake of the German movie ‘Das Experiment’. Columbia Pictures will release the Experiment movie sometime in 2010.

Here’s a first look at Adrien Brody in the Experiment:

(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

Plot:
“26 men are chosen to participate in the roles of guards and prisoners in a psychological study to examine how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. But the experiment ultimately spirals out of control…”

Forest Whitaker is a versatile actor, I can definitely imagine Adrien Brody in such a film, and Cam Gigandet did prove that he can play a freak in Pandorum, so the Experiment should be a remake worth watching!
