Take a look to the latest poster of ‘From Paris with Love’, the upcoming action movie directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak:
Megamind is the new title of Dreamwork’s Oobermind (which was also previously titled Master Mind). I guess Megamind is more marketable even if less creative… Anyway, Megamind still sounds good to me. The story revolves around a supervillain who unwillingly becomes the new acclaimed hero.
Here’s a first look at Megamind (Will Ferrell) and Metro Man (Brad Pitt): (Click on the picture to enlarge it.) Plot:
“When super villain Megamind (Will Ferrell) defeats his archrival Metro Man (Brad Pitt), the world should be his oyster. But instead, Megamind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a purpose for him. So he creates a new superhero rival, Titan (Jonah Hill). Unfortunately for him and the world, the new hero wants to be a super villain too. The new villain begins his rampage, and Megamind sets out to stop him, beginning a path to redemption in the process.”
The movie Megamind is directed by Tom McGrath and it can boast the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Tina Fey. The release date of Megamind is set for November 5, 2010.

We got our hands on a series of preview clips of Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, aka Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel. The first two clips are definitely worth watching:
Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 – Secret Weapon
Alvin is becomes a key player in the football team.
Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 – Locker Reveal
Alvin and the Chipmunks meet the Chipettes near their lockers.
Plot:
“Because of a freak accident involving Alvin and Dave Seville, they go to live with Dave Seville’s cool cousin Toby and must enroll in school just like every other kid. School presents new challenges to these rock stars, like dealing with peer pressure, school sports and of course, girls!
By ‘girls’ we mean the Chipettes who are managed by Ian Hawke, the Chipmunks greedy former manager who wants to turn them into the next big thing. At the outset, there is a rivalry between the Chipettes and the Chipmunks but in the end they realize that they make great friends and a great musical team!”
This sequel to Alvin and the Chipmunks is going to be damn good! I wasn’t really fan of those squirrels until I see those two clips. Now, I’m completely hooked. And my kids won’t have to ask me twice to go watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2!
Update -Taylor Lautner is no more attached to the project.
Paramount is planning the release of a movie adaptation of Max Steel, the toy line and animated series. And it’s been announced that Taylor Lautner (who plays as Jacob in the Twilight Saga) will have the lead role as Max Steel. The movie Max Steel will likely be released in 2011.
Plot:
“A 19-year-old extreme-sports athlete has been accidentally exposed to the unleashed power of nanotechological machines, which became part of him and gave him increased strength, near-invulnerability and the ability to change his appearance. The young man now fights the enemies of peace as a super-powered secret agent.”
Some may think that Paramount just want to profit from Taylor Lautner’s celebrity to reach a wide public. Well, that’s true. But should rather see the movie Max Steel as a new reward for Taylor Lautner following his impressive efforts to bulk up for New Moon! And there is no denying that Taylor Lautner is damn fit for the role of Mad Max!

The movie Brooklyn’s Finest can boast a quite good cast with Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes. Bringing for those actors together for Brooklyn’s Finest is a damn good idea!

The Back-up Plan is an upcoming romantic comedy starring the multi-talented singer and actress Jenifer Lopez in the lead role besides Alex O’Loughlin, Noureen DeWulf, Melissa McCarthy and Eric Christian Olsen. The film is directed by Alan Poul. It will be released on April 16, 2010. .
Here’s the movie poster of the Back Up Plan:
(Click on the poster to enlarge it.)
Plot
“A romantic comedy centered on Zoe (Jennifer Lopez), a woman who conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet Stan (Alex O’Loughlin), the man of her dreams, on the very same day.”
Why a woman as beautiful as Jennifer Lopez would use artificial insemination? I mean most men on Earth would be more than glad to marry her! Anyway, the Back-up Plan movie sounds like a sweet romantic comedy.
