Kable (300’s Gerard Butler) is the superstar and cult hero of the ultraviolent ‘Slayers’. Kable is controlled by Simon, a young gamer with rock star status who continues to defy all odds by guiding Kable to victory each week. Taken from his family, imprisoned and forced to fight against his will, the modern day gladiator must survive long enough to escape the game to free his family, regain his identity and to save mankind from Castle’s ruthless technology.”
No technology is evil in itself: a technology to control minds like in the movie Gamer could have some useful applications, it could help to reduce recurring criminality for example. But I doubt there would be any organization trustworthy enough to manage the implementation of this mind-control gimmick… Would-be dictators, or just simple twisted minds, would pervert its use. So better this invention never to happen!

John Cameron Mitchell is directing Rabbit Hole, the movie adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire’s stage play. The movie is starring Nicole Kiman and Aaron Eckhart. It will be released in 2010. Here below a first look at Kidman and Eckhart in the movie Rabbit Hole:
With such a premise, the movie Rabbit Hole promises to be a powerful drama charged with emotion…

The Smurfs will come into theaters on December 17, 2010! Director Raja Gosnell is curently working on an animated CG feature film based on small sky blue creatures. Here below a first look at what a CGI 3D smurf is gonna look like:
Say hello to our little friend!
I feel like I want to giggle every time I see a Smurf. I’ll be happy to go watch Gargamel and his pet cat Azrael chasing the poor Smurfs on Christmas 2010.
:)
Looks like there will be a Bad Boys 3 movie. Sony Pictures has indeed hired Peter Craig (that’s the same guy who’s writing the script of Cowboy Bebop) to pen the screenplay of a new Bad Boy movie. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are likely to reprise their roles as Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. And Director Michael Bay may come back to helm the third opus of a movie series that really kick-started his blockbuster career.
More details at: Bad Boys 3 Movie Trailer
But nothing is set in stone yet, so even if all the stakeholders would like to see the original Bad Boys crew to be back for the movie Bad Boys 3, don’t take for granted that they will be back. Bad Boys 3 doesn’t really need Michael Bay, but it wouldn’t be a Bad Boys movie without Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Personal request to Peter Craig: I’d like to see some hint to Obama in Bad Boys 3!
Anyway, hope we’ll get more details about Bad Boys 3 soon!
:)
Great News today: Rambo 5 has been confirmed by Nu Image/Millennium Films. Sylvester Stallone will starring (of course!) and directing (he did a great job with Rambo 4) this new Rambo movie. And we even have the first synopsis of Rambo 5:
Don’t expect Rambo 5 to a bloodbath like in the previous film: Sylvester Stallone said not so long ago that they would tame it down a bit so to reach a larger public. Well as long as they keep it Rambo-esque I don’t mind.
Production will start in early 2010. Can’t wait for the movie Rambo 5!

Rachel Weisz makes a lovely Hypatia. If they were more people like Hypatia at that time, people understanding the higher value of knowledge over religion and superstition, our civilization would not have regressed into the Middle Age.

In the movie Zombieland, Jesse Eisenberg does have the survival of our species at heart (think “make babies”). This new preview clip of Zombieland indicates indeed that he’s thinking about repopulating Earth later on:
We’ve got three new pictures of Jason Reitman’s Up in the Air, an upcoming comedy movie starring George Clooney and Anna Kendrick:
