A first official look at The Little Stranger, the upcoming supernatural horror thriller movie directed by Lenny Abrahamson:

Plot synopsis:
“The film tells the story of Dr Faraday, the son of a housemaid, who has built a life of quiet respectability as a country doctor. During the long hot summer of 1948, he is called to a patient at Hundreds Hall, where his mother once worked. The Hall has been home to the Ayres family for more than two centuries. But it is now in decline and its inhabitants – mother, son and daughter – are haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life. When he takes on his new patient, Faraday has no idea how closely, and how disturbingly, the family’s story is about to become entwined with his own.”

You may recognize Oliver Zetterstrom as Young Faraday and Tipper Siefert-Cleveland as Young Susan.

The film is starring Domhnall Gleeson, Ruth Wilson, Will Poulter, and Charlotte Rampling.

There’s a new official plot synopsis for Mowgli (previously tilted Jungle Book), the upcoming live-action-with-CGI movie directed by Andy Serkis:

Plot synopsis:
“Blending live action and performance capture, the story follows the upbringing of the human child Mowgli (Rohan Chand) raised by a wolf pack in the jungles of India. As he learns the often-harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo (Andy Serkis) and a panther named Bagheera (Christian Bale), Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own. All but one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Benedict Cumberbatch). But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins. It kind of just feels like yet another Nutcracker ballet… That said, Disney’s film will reach a wider public. Anyway, it still looks great and am looking forward to seeing the film. And you?
