REMOTE VIEWING
Plot synopsis:
“At a genetic lab thing went very wrong…
What is Remote Viewing? It is a concept that involves ‘seeing’ a distant target through Extra Sensory Perception; but in the case of this horror film, it means viewing things through the eyes of a human puppet—a slave to a grand master. Who is the master? What nightmarish experiments could result in such a creature….and what might it do with its power? Worse still, what further monstrous creations might such an experiment produce? Not only will you see, you will be shocked.

Dark Night Movie Trailer

Dark Night MovieCheck out the first official trailer of DarkNight, the upcoming drama movie written and directed by Tim Sutton and starring Robert Jumper, Anna Rose Hopkins, and Karina Macias:

DARK NIGHT
Plot synopsis:
“A haunting, artfully understated critique of American gun culture, Tim Sutton’s third feature is loosely based around the 2012 massacre in Aurora, Colorado that took place during a multiplex screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.” Employing a mesmerizing documentary-style technique and a cast of non-professional actors, DARK NIGHT follows the activities of six strangers over the course of one day, from sunrise to midnight, the shooter among them.
Shot in Sarasota, Florida and lensed by veteran French DP Helene Louvart (PINA, THE BEACHES OF AGNES), the dream-like visuals articulate both Sutton’s carefully crafted landscapes and the characters’ sense of alienation and suburban malaise. Winner of the Lanterna Magica Award at the Venice Film Festival following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, DARK NIGHT is essential viewing, not only for art-house filmgoers, but for anyone invested in the debate over gun violence in America as well.”

Well, the trailer is depressingly good: the movie looks good, but damn there is so much sadness in that trailer! Anyway, do you think more stringent gun control would be a good thing?

Marilyn, an unlucky-in-love businesswoman, has yet to find the perfect guy to marry. Her solution? A staged wedding with the perfect groom followed by a quickie divorce! — what could possibly go wrong? Well for starters, falling in love with the ‘groom’, when you’re not supposed to. And wanting to stay married, when he’s got other weddings to do. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.”

The film is titled “Playmobil: Robbers, Thieves & Rebels”. Director Lino DiSalvo is in charge of the project based on a script by Blaise Hemingway. A few words from the director:

Lino DisalvoI’ve learned most of my skills by growing up in the Disney system; I was very fortunate to work on films like ‘Tangled’ and ‘Frozen‘. I am thrilled at the prospect of developing the Playmobil film. As a father and a filmmaker, to create a film about your son’s favorite toy, what else do you want?
