ALONE: DON’T GROW UP
Plot synopsis:
“On an isolated island, a group of teenage delinquents living in a youth center wake up to find themselves alone with no one to watch over them. After much partying, their supervisor appears out of nowhere, feverish and shaking. He suddenly attacks the students. They fight back and kill him accidentally, leaving them no other choice than to flee the crime scene. As they run away, they realize the island has been deserted. Or practically. The few adults they encounter on their journey all seem to be infected by a mysterious epidemic, making them violent and dangerous. It gradually becomes clear to them that children and adolescents aren’t affected by this disease. In order to survive, they need to respect one golden rule: DON’T GROW UP. But one of them is turning 18 very soon…”

So the virus can make the difference between legal age and biological age? Damn, that zombie virus is really smart, isn’t it? lol!

It’s kind of hard to think about Magneto as some evil higher power’s minion… he’s too independent and clever! I guess he’s in only to increase his superpowers, and is already scheming to take over the lead.

Trailer of Steven Spielberg’s The BFG

The BFGThere’s a new trailer for The BFG, the upcoming fantasy adventure movie directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Ruby Barnhill, Mark Rylance, Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, and Penelope Wilton:

THE BFG

This Summer the world is more giant than you can imagine!

Plto synopsis:
“The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming, and, having never met a giant before, has many questions. The BFG brings Sophie to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams. Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows, but Sophie’s presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Sophie and the BFG soon depart for London to see the Queen (Penelope Wilton) and warn her of the precarious giant situation, but they must first convince the Queen and her maid, Mary (Rebecca Hall), that giants do indeed exist. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all. ”

A closer look at the giant’s face:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Why does the big friendly giant look like a giant E.T. at times? Is it because of Steven Spielberg’s involvement? Anyway, can’t say am impressed with this trailer, not excited yet abut seeing this film. And you?

The film will be released in theaters on July 1, 2016.
