Walt Disney Pictures is working on a sequel to the 1964 classic movie Mary Poppins. Yep, get ready for Mary Poppins 2. The sequel is officially titled Marry Poppins Returns. They’re eyeing a 2018 release.

Director Rob Marshall will helm the project based on a script by David Magee. Marc Shaiman is in charge of the score, and will write original songs with Scott Wittman. And Actress Emily Blunt is taking over the lead role as the magical nanny.

It’s a straight up sequel. Michael and Jane Banks have grown up, and they find themselves in their own spot, and Mary Poppins comes back to take care of Michael’s kids. I play a lamplighter named Jack who sort of grew up apprenticing to Bert. So I know if Mary Poppins shows up, it’s gonna get awesome. I perform that function in the movie, of saying: ‘Y’all don’t know about Mary Poppins. When Mary’s around, cool shit happens.’

Disney Pixar has unveiled two new concept art pictures for Cars 3, the upcoming CG animated movie sequel set to be released in June 2017:

The pictures are featuring Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez, a new Hispanic female car who’s going to coach McQueen so he may keep racing against new generation cars. Jackson Storm is one of those new cars.

Actor Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock is set to play the role of Doc Savage in a new movie adaptation. The film is directed by Shane Black based on a script he co-wrote with Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry.

Plot synopsis:
“Doc was physically and mentally trained from birth by his father and a team of scientists to become the perfect human specimen with a genius level intellect. His heightened senses are beyond comprehension. He can even identify a women’s perfume from half a mile away.
Confidently, yet innocently he has zero social graces whatsoever due to his upbringing so every interaction he has with someone is direct, odd, often uncomfortable and amazingly hilarious.”
