About 24 hours later, in an anonymous laboratory, she is tied up and questioned about her medical history, including her great fear of spiders. Soon her captors explain to her that with her genetic abnormality can potentially allow her to RUPTURE in which her own alien nature can be released. Through the experience of one’s deepest fear (in Renee’s case spiders) causes this transforming her into her true self.”

Is she alien? Or did her DNA somehow get contaminated? What do you think?

Here’s the official U.S. trailer of A Hologram for the King, the upcoming drama movie written and directed by Tom Tykwer and starring Tom Hanks, Sarita Choudhury, Tom Skerritt, Omar Elba, Alexander Black, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Tracey Fairaway, and Ben Whishaw:

A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING

Baffled by local customs and stymied by an opaque bureaucracy, he eventually finds his footing with the help of a wise-cracking taxi driver (Alexander Black) and a beautiful Saudi doctor (Sarita Choudhury).”

I met a few people who worked in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries and well, they told me it isn’t that much fun and that it was horribly hot… Have you ever been there? is it as bad they said?

The Angry Birds Movie – Happy Easter!

There’s a new Easter-themed viral video to promote The Angry Birds Movie, the upcoming CG animated movie directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis:

An Easter message from the hatchlings of The Angry Birds Movie.

Happy Easter from the Hatchlings!

Plot synopsis:
“Find out why the birds are so angry. When an island populated by happy, flightless birds is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to three unlikely outcasts – Red, Chuck and Bomb – to figure out what the pigs are up to.”

Those little hatchlings are cute but they sound so annoying that I kind of want to throw them in a meat grinder…

A fat Purple Hatchling eating chocolate - Angry Birds The Movie

I’d spare the chubby purple hatchling’s life though: whoever likes chocolate deserves to live a long life, lol!

Anyway, here’s an additional Easter poster for Angry Birds:

Release date: May 20, 2016.

X-Men Apocalypse Movie – Team Professor X

Team Professor X is the focus of this new poster of X-Men Apocalypse, the upcoming action superhero movie directed by Bryan Singer:

(Click on the poster to enlarge.)

X-MEN APOCALYPSE

Defend!

Plot synopsis:
“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

I guess Raven (portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence), who’s front and center on the poster, will turn to the dark side and switch sides…

Anyway, would you rather destroy or defend?

In theaters: May 27, 2016.

One More Time Movie Trailer

ONE MORE TIME

The hardest act to follow if your father’s.

Plot synopsis:
“Rattling around in his mansion in the Hamptons, faded Sinatraesque crooner and notorious ladies man Paul Lombard stews over the acclaim that eluded him in his career and the trail of romantic wreckage he left in his wake. Matters are complicated when his punk rocker daughter Jude arrives in need of a place to stay and burdened with problems of her own….including a rivalry with her overachieving sister, her own ruinous love life, and above all, a fraught relationship with her famous father.”

And here’s the first official trailer:

ONE MORE TIME

From the producers of Beginners and Love is Strange.

Jude is stuck in the present. Paul is stuck in the past.

Between love and anger is where you find your voice.

Am pretty sure the film will be interesting, but this trailer is way too syrupy…

The release date of One More Time is set to April 8, 2016 (in theaters and on VOD).

Trailer of Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant

Actress Meryl Streep thinks she can sing like a diva in Florence Foster Jenkins, the upcoming drama comedy movie directed by Stephen Frears. Check out the latest trailer below:

FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS

From the director of Philomena and The Queen.

Based on an astonishing true story.

Be inspired, live your dream.

You have to heart it to believe it.

Plot synopsis:
“The film is the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep) , the legendary New York heiress and socialite who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great opera singer. The voice she heard in her head was beautiful, but to everyone else it was hilariously awful. Her ‘husband’ and manager, St Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), an aristocratic English actor, was determined to protect his beloved Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give a public concert at Carnegie Hall in 1944, St Clair knew he faced his greatest challenge.”

Her vain pursuit of fame through singing will bring her demise… Anyway, funny move head!

The film will be released in May 6, 2016 in the U.K., but there’s still no U.S. release date.

Kubo and the Two Strings Trailer

There’s a brand new gorgeous extended trailer for Kubo and the Two Strings, the upcoming stop-motion animated movie directed by Travis Knight:

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS

Get ready for this Summer’s most epic adventure!

To defeat his enemies he must discover his own story!

Plot synopsis:
“An epic action-adventure set in a fantastical Japan from acclaimed animation studio LAIKA.
Kubo lives a quiet, normal life in a small shoreside village until a spirit from the past turns his life upside down by re-igniting an age-old vendetta. This causes all sorts of havoc as gods and monsters chase Kubo who, in order to survive, must locate a magical suit of armor once worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior.”

It’s hard to believe this new movie from Laika was created using stop motion: the animation is so fluid and stunning that you’d think they did it using CG animation. Marvelous!

The film opens in theaters on August 19, 2016.
