Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey), and sets out on a thrilling quest to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known. Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Never understood why people would want a dachshund for pet… Maybe the film will give me a better understanding of those poor souls who do!

The film is starring Greta Gerwig, Kieran Culkin, Danny DeVito, Ellen Burstyn, Julie Delpy, Zosia Mamet. It has yet to get an official release date, but it will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Plot synopsis:
“Since the dawn of civilization, En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

The same poster but animated:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Character Posters

New character posters of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the upcoming period zombie comedy movie directed by Burr Steers, have been unveiled, take a look below:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

Plot synopsis:
“Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England is faced with a new challenge — an army of undead zombies.”

Those old pistols would not help much against hungry zombies… It would take way too long to reload… Knifes and swords would offer better protection!

Release date: February 5, 2016.

The Forest Motion Poster

Will you dare to check out this new creepy motion poster of The Forest, the upcoming horror movie directed by Jason Zada and starring Natalie Dormer:

THE FOREST
Plot synopsis:
“Rising with terrifying grandeur at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan, the legendary real-life Aokigahara Forest is the suspense-filled setting of the supernatural thriller. A young American woman, Sara (Natalie Dormer), journeys there in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. In the company of expatriate Aiden (Taylor Kinney), Sara enters the forest having been well warned to “stay on the path.” Determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, Sara will have to face the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who dares come near them. These malevolent spirits lying in wait for Sara at every turn will plunge her into a frightening darkness from which she must fight to save herself.”

Well if ghosts are haunting the forest I say it’s time to spray agent orange over it! I bet the defoliant which rose to infamy during the Vietnam war would help get rid of those evil spirits!

The film will be released on January 8, 2016.

Trailer and Poster of Anesthesia

You may watch below the official trailer of Anesthesia, the upcoming drama movie written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson and starring Kristen Stewart, Sam Waterston, Glenn Close, Tim Blake Nelson, Corey Stoll, Michael K. Williams, K. Todd Freeman, Mickey Sumner, Yul Vazquez, Gloria Reuben, Jessica Hecht, and Gretchen Mol:

ANESTHESIA
Plot synopsis:
“A snowy New York City night, a beloved teacher, a shocking crime: this provocative drama pieces together the puzzle of a man’s life just before it changes forever. While on his way home one evening, Walter Zarrow (Sam Waterston), a popular Columbia University philosophy professor, is violently attacked on the street. Flash back one week, as actor-director Tim Blake Nelson traces the domino effect of events that led up to this seemingly senseless assault. Along the way, hidden connections between a seemingly disparate group of people—including a self-destructive student (Kristen Stewart), a hard-drinking suburban housewife (Gretchen Mol), and a desperate junkie (K. Todd Freeman)—emerge, forming a complex, engrossing mosaic of lost souls united by tragedy. The stellar ensemble cast includes Glenn Close and Michael K. Williams.”

From the trailer it feels like a live-action and darker version of Anomalisa… Life is too complicated for some people… Maybe they should just sit back and enjoy…
