The Lazarus Effect Movie Trailer

You may watch below the first official trailer of The Lazarus Effect, the upcoming horror thriller movie directed by David Gelb and starring Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass, Evan Peters, and Donald Glover:

THE LAZARUS EFFECT

Evil will rise!

Plot:
“When a team of research students mapping the human brain accidentally kills one of their own, they unwittingly unlock a deadly force by reanimating their colleague. Fighting for their own lives, the team must contain their colleague in the lab before she is unleashed on the world.”

So they injected some sort of anti-death serum to that girl (who was really dead, like brain dead?) hoping to bring her back from the dead. But the girl came back with the devil in tow? Then I guess it’s better to stay dead, or even not to die at all, LoL!

Release date: February 27, 2015.

This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.”

That ghost looks like an old pervert lusting for action, doesn’t he?

Peanuts New Trailer

A new trailer of Peanuts, the upcoming animated movie adaptation directed by Steve Martino, has shown up online, watch it below:

PEANUTS

Never stop dreaming big!

Plot:
“For the first time ever, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles Schulz’s timeless ‘Peanuts’ comic strip will be making their big-screen debut; like they’ve never been seen before in a CG-Animated Feature film in 3D.”

Love the animation style: it’s CG animated but it does respect the spirit of the comic. But I can’t say I’m fond of that annoying pop song…

The film will open in theaters on November 6, 2015.

Good Kill Movie Trailer

Thanks to Voltage Pictures here’s the first official trailer of Good Kill, the upcoming thriller movie written and directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Ethan Hawke:

GOOD KILL

If you never face your enemy how can you face yourself?

Plot:
“A fighter-pilot turned drone-pilot, based in Las Vegas, fights the Taliban by remote control for twelve hours a day, then goes home to the suburbs and feuds with his wife and kids for the other twelve. But the pilot is starting to question the mission. Is he creating more terrorists than he’s killing? Is he fighting a war without end? One soldier’s tale with epic implications.”

Some may think using drones raise ethical issues, but I doubt it really raises new issues: what’s the difference with dropping bombs from an airplane?

Anyway, I’ll give the film a try.

Besides Ethan Hawke, the cast also includes Bruce Greenwood, Jake Abel, January Jones, and Zoe Kravitz.

Still no official release date.
