Don Cheadle (yes, the chap who plays the role of Colonel James Rhodes aka War Machine in The Avengers) is directing and starring in Miles Ahead, an exploration of the life and music of Miles Davis (an American jazz musician, trumpeter, bandleader, and composer who’s widely considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century). And here’s a first official look at Don Cheadle as Miles Davis:
(Click on the picture to enlarge.)
Plot:
“Rolling Stone reporter Dave Brill (Ewan McGregor) wants is an exclusive interview with the jazz legend himself, Miles Davis (Don Cheadle). What he gets instead is a wild and dangerous ride-along with a recording artist living at his edge, rife with shootouts, car-chases, and a tale of lost love to the sensual singer Frances. ”
Don Cheadle needs no superhero weapon: he’s got a mighty trumpet and great shades!
Anyway, you may listen to some of Mile Davis’ songs below:

Here’s a first official look at Three Generations, the upcoming drama comedy movie directed by Gaby Dellal and starring Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts, and Elle Fanning:
(Click on the picture to enlarge.)
Plot:
“The film is a funny and touching story about identity and a look at how, at every stage in our lives, we struggle to be true to ourselves. We follow Ray (Elle Fanning), a New York City teenager struggling with gender identity and Ray’s harried single mother Maggie (Naomi Watts) as they track down Ray’s biological father to sign the paperwork approving Ray’s transition. Meanwhile, Maggie’s mother Dolly (Susan Sarandon), a quick witted music manager who shares her brownstone with her lesbian partner Frances (Linda Emond), is having a hard time wrapping her head around Ray’s life altering decision, and Maggie’s inability to move out of the house in which she grew up…”
Definitely not the traditional family here! Anyway, am willing to give it a try if only because it’s starring Susan Sarandon. What about you?
There’s no official release date yet.

Sony Pictures Animation has unveiled the logo of Medusa, an upcoming adventure fantasy animated movie directed by Lauren Faust based on a script by Todd Alcott and Holly Golden:
(Click on the picture to enlarge.)
Plot:
“The film will tell an all-new story behind the infamous snake-headed lady from Greek mythology”
In the story, we meet Medusa as a young human, who, like so many of us, is overwhelmed with trying to fit a certain mold to please others. Her resulting popularity ticks off the wrong Goddess who turns her into the snake-haired monster we all know and fear. Medusa sets out on a quest to reverse this curse with the help of a goofy team of oddball and misfit mythological creatures who help her learn that what makes you different is, in fact, what makes you strong.
MEDUSA will be a clever, heartfelt animated comedy about a girl who’s having the ultimate bad hair day.”

We’ve got our hands on two official pictures of The End of the Tour, the upcoming drama movie directed by James Ponsoldt:
(Click on a picture to enlarge.)
Plot:
“David Lipsky (, a magazine reporter, recounts his travels and conversations with author David Foster Wallace during a promotional book tour.”
Have you ever heard about David Foster Wallace? Well, I checked on Wikipedia, and it sounds like he was a novelist: he wrote a quite funny science-fiction dystopian novel titled “Infinite Jest” (published in 1996). The chap committed suicide in 2008.
A first official look at Actor Jason Sudeikis and Actress Alison Brie in Sleeping with Other People, the upcoming comedy movie written and directed by Leslye Headland:
