The third installment in the Hobbit movie franchise has been retitled The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies. Here’s the first official plot synopsis:

Director Christopher Landon is working on Christopher Scouts vs. Zombies, an upcoming horror comedy movie set to pit three scouts against a pack of zombies. Here’s the film’s plot synopsis:

“Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, and Joey Morgan play three scouts who, on the eve of their last camp out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.”

Actor Richard Gere joined the cast of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2, the upcoming comedy movie sequel directed by John Madden. Here’s the plot synopsis:

Plot:
“The story picks up where the first film left off, and features Indian hotelier Sonny (Dev Patel) prepping for his marriage to Sunaina (Tena Desae).
And two hopeful new arrivals (Richard Gere and Tamsin Greig) at The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful quickly learn that there is only a single room left to rent.”

Poltergeist Movie starring Sam Rockwell

An official release date has been set for the upcoming remake of Poltergeist: the film is set to open in theaters on February 13, 2015. The film is directed by Gil Kenan based on a script by David Lindsay-Abaire. Actor Sam Rockwell (pictured below) got a lead role as Eric Bowen. Here’s the official plot synopsis from 20th Century Fox:

Plot:
“Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan reimagine and contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.”

Besides Sam Rockwell, the cast of the remake includes Jared Harris, Rosemarie DeWitt, Saxon Sharbino, Kyle Catlett, Kennedi Clements, and Jane Adams.

Lazarus Movie

We’ve got our hand son the plot synopsis of Lazarus (previously titled Reawakening), the upcoming horror movie directed by David Gelb and starring Olivia Wilde:

Plot:
“When a team of research students mapping the human brain accidentally kills one of their own, they unwittingly unlock a deadly force by reanimating their colleague. Fighting for their own lives, the team must contain their colleague in the lab before she is unleashed on the world.”

Where does the deadly force come from? Is it some inner demon? The plot kind of reminds me of The Quiet Ones… Let’s hope it will be different, and better!

Besides Olivia Wilde, the cast also includes , Mark Duplass, Donald Glover, Evan Peters, and Sarah Bolger.

The release date of Lazarus is set to January 30, 2015.

Check out the official plot synopsis of Max, an upcoming family drama movie directed by Boaz Yakin based on a script he co-wrote with Sheldon Lettich:

All will be revealed.

Plot:

I don’t think the concept of predestination and the possibility of time travel really mix, but am still willing to give this film a try. Besides I’m a fan of Ethan Hawke!
