Here’s a first official look at Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts in The Bleeder, the upcoming boxing drama movie directed by Philippe Falardeau based on a script by Jeff Feuerzeig and Jerry Stahl:
“The true story of Chuck Wepner, the man who inspired the billion-dollar film series ‘Rocky’—a liquor salesman from New Jersey who went 15 rounds with the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammed Ali. In his ten years in the ring, Wepner endured two knockouts, 8 broken noses, 313 stitches. But his toughest fights were outside the ring: an epic life of drugs, booze, wild women, incredible highs and extraordinary lows.”
With that mustache and unkempt hair Liev Schreiber kind of reminds me of Mickey Rourke!
Besides Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, the cast also includes Elisabeth Moss, Ron Perlman, Jim Gaffigan, Pooch Hall, and Morgan Spector.
The film has yet to get an official release date.
