Here’s the official movie trailer of The Young and Prodigious Spivet, the upcoming adventure family movie directed by French Filmmaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet (who helmed Amélie and Alien Resurrection) based on the 2009 novel “The Selected Works of T.S. Spivet” written by American Auhor Reif Larsen:
THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS SPIVET
“A 12-year-old cartographer secretly leaves his family’s ranch in Montana where he lives with his cowboy father and scientist mother and travels across the country on board a freight train to receive an award at the Smithsonian Institute.”
The story is really cute, and the film definitely bears the mark of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s talent. I’d love to watch this film!
The Young and Prodigious Spivet movie will hit French theaters on October 16, 2013.
:)
A truly charming escapist movie. But for me the US west and the rail cars the cowboy hats and jeans all helped to add to the very clever and entertaining story.
