Update – The film has been retitled “Their Finest”

Here’s a first official look at Their Finest Hour and a Half, the upcoming comedy movie directed by Lone Scherfig based on the novel by Lissa Evans and starring Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy, Jack Huston, and Jake Lacy:

Plot synopsis:
“With London emptied of men now fighting at the Front, Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) lands herself a job writing copy for propaganda films that need ‘a woman’s touch’. Her natural flair quickly gets her noticed by dashing movie producer Buckley (Sam Claflin) whose path would never have crossed hers in peacetime.
With the country’s morale at stake, Catrin, Buckley and a colourful crew work furiously to make a film that will warm the hearts of the nation. As bombs are dropping all around them, Catrin discovers there is as much drama, comedy and passion behind the camera as there is onscreen.
Set against the backdrop of the London blitz, the film will show how in the extremities and atrocities of war people’s wit, humility and sheer courage overcome the depressingly hopeless situation and even the most unlikely romances can bloom.”

Actress Gemma Arterton is a stunning beauty, isn’t she?
