Actor Jude Law got the lead role as Captain Robinson in Black Sea, an upcoming adventure thriller movie directed by Kevin Macdonald based on a script by Dennis Kelly. Here below the first official pictures of the film:

Plot:
“In order to make good with his former employers, a submarine captain takes a job with a shadowy backer to search the depths of the Black Sea for a sub that’s rumored to be loaded with gold.”

The sight of so much gold must induce fever!

Besides Jude Law, the cast also includes Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Konstantin Khabensky, Jodie Whittaker, Karl Davies, and Grigoriy Dobrygin.

A new series of pictures for Camp X-Ray, the upcoming drama movie written and directed by Peter Sattler and starring Kristen Stewart, Payman Maadi, Yousuf Azami, and Lane Garrison:

Plot:
“A young woman (Kristen Stewart) joins the military to be part of something bigger than herself and her small town roots, but ends up as a rookie guard at Guantanamo Bay. Her mission is far from black and white, as she is surrounded by hostile jihadists and aggressive male squadmates. When she strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the detainees (Payman Maadi), both of their worlds are forever shifted.”

The plot of the film sounds unlikely, but am willing to see the film. Am kind of curious to see Kristen Stewart’s performance in the film.

The film should be released sometime in October 2014.

Thanks to Moviefone we get a first official look at Max Steel, the upcoming live-action movie adaptation based on the action figure created by Mattel (and who had its own animated series):

Plot:
“A teen (Ben Winchell) learns to harness his unusual power with the help of a mysterious creature.”

Looks like the costume designer for the film was influenced by Tron Legacy. Anywyay, am impatient to see the trailer to get a better idea of what to expect from the Max Steel movie.

The film is directed by Stewart Hendler based on a script by Christopher Yost. Actor Ben Winchell got the lead role as Max McGrath aka Max Steel. Besides Ben Winchell, the cast also includes Andy Garcia, Maria Bello, Mike Doyle, Ana Villafane, Billy Slaughter, Lawrence Kao, Avis-Marie Barnes, Phillip DeVona, Elizabeth Ludlow, and Al Mitchell.

Max Steel has yet to get an official release date, but it will likely hit theaters sometime in 2015.

Dreamworks is planning a a sequel to the 2013 adventure animated movie The Croods. The first film grossed more than $587 for a $135 million budget: yep, a juicy profit here! So one can understand why Dreamworks wants to compound the success of the first film and build a full-fledged franchise.

Co-writers and directors Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders will return to helm the sequel. They’re currently working on the script. We don’t k now yet if the voice cast will return.

The release date of The Croods 2 is tentatively set to November 3, 2017.

Here’s a first official look at Actor Idris Elba in Beasts of No Nation, the upcoming war drama movie directed by Cary Fukunaga based on the novel of the same name written by Uzodinma Iweala:

Plot:
“Agu, a young boy in an unnamed West African nation, is recruited into a unit of guerrilla fighters as civil war engulfs his country. Idris Elba plays the role of the commander. They’re currently filming in Ghana in Africa. The country depicted in the film isn’t named and it can’t be Ghana, but it definitely reminds of what happened in Liberia…

The film has yet to get an official release date. It will probably hit theaters sometime in 2015.

Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro are currently filming The Intern, an upcoming comedy movie written and directed by Nancy Meyers. The two actors have been spotted on the film set in Brooklyn in New York City

So Robert De Niro is playing some kind of mentor/father figure to Anne Hathaway? Well sounds right to me! Am pretty sure they will do well together on the big screen.

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been spotted on the set of Black Mass, the upcoming action crime drama movie directed by Scott Cooper that’s also starring Johnny Depp:

They’re filming a scene set during St Patrick’s Day (for those who don’t know, Saint Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated annually on 17 March, the death date of the most commonly-recognised patron saint of Ireland). The Bulger are of of Irish descent, that’s why Billy is taking part to the annual parade of the Irish community.

We already knew Paramount was planning to develop Transformers 5, a sequel to Transformers 4 Age of Extinction. It was initially slated for a 2017 release. But now it sounds like the studio execs want to speed things up, Paramount indeed announced at a Cinema convention in Europe that they’re actually eyeing a release in 2016 for Transformers 5.

That’s till two years ahead of us, but hey, better than having to wait three years, nope?

Since the dinobots have been introduced in the fourth film, I hope the fith film will introduce the Mini-Cons (a race of small, roughly human-sized Transformers capable of combining with a larger Transformer to impart extra abilities or greatly increase their strength).

Actor Jason Moma is set to play the role of Aquaman in Batman V Superman, the upcoming sequel to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. The actor shared this picture via instagram to tease his fans (see the trident?):

For those who don’t know about Aquaman, in the DC Comics universe Auquaman is the king of Atlantis: he’s like a kind of male super-mermaid (but with legs).
