Plot synopsis:
“Moll (Jessie Buckley) is the black sheep in her otherwise reserved, stiff-upper-lip British family and their country-club world. Her adventurous spirit and fiery temperament are too much for them to handle. Home-schooled by her controlling mother following a violent incident in her preteen past, Moll is, at first glance, quiet and unassuming; but how long will she be punished for something she did all those years ago?
After escaping her own garden birthday party in favour of a night out dancing with strangers, she meets Pascal (Johnny Flynn), a rugged hunter with a guarded past. He proves to be just the tonic she needs. Eager to leave her family, she makes the sweetly satisfying, if rash, decision, to move in with him. But when a local teenage girl goes missing following a string of murders on their otherwise tranquil isle of Jersey, Moll must decide what and whom to trust — her own instincts or the animal she now calls home?”

Well, Johnny Flynn makes for one handsome beast, doesn’t he?

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Elle Fanning, Douglas Booth, Bel Powley, and Tom Sturridge - Mary Shelley Film

Plot synopsis:
“The film depicts the author Mary Shelley as a fiercely modern 19th-century woman, and her Frankenstein as the product of unbridled imagination and profound grief.
Daughter of political philosophers William Godwin and Mary Wollstonecraft, who died giving birth to her, Mary (Elle Fanning) is a bookish adolescent of humble means when she meets Percy Bysshe Shelley (Douglas Booth), who, though only 21, is already a celebrated young poet — and a shameless womanizer with one collapsing marriage already under his belt. Defying her beloved but disapproving father, Mary absconds with Shelley — her stepsister, Claire (Bel Powley), in tow. Mary seeks ‘unconventional approaches to living’, and finds it in spades with her debt-ridden bon vivant scribe, who desires neither monogamy nor the constraints of fatherly responsibility. Yet Percy believes in Mary, and two years into their union he whisks her away to a Swiss chateau for a summer of debauchery presided over by Lord Byron (Tom Sturridge), where Mary will confront personal demons and compose the most influential horror novel of all time.

Those young people obviously didn’t have to work in the field or at a factory…

Far more than a mere portrait session, the meeting inspires a conversation that will change both artist and subject.
Weldon became Sitting Bull’s secretary, interpreter, and advocate, but not before these two powerful people would contend with their differences in assumptions, in outlook, and in the long reach of their respective histories.”
