WHAT STILL REMAINS
First came the virus. Then came the war. Then came hope.
Plot synopsis:
“Twenty-five years after a viral outbreak decimates the population, a hardened nineteen-year-old ekes out an existence in the wilderness. With the loss of her family, Anna (Lulu Antariksa)’s life grows isolated as she struggles to survive in a world long since destroyed by disease. But when a lonely traveler offers her a place in his village, she must decide whether abandoning the only life she’s known is worth the risk of community. Choosing to trust this stranger, Anna sets out with Peter (Colin O’Donoghue) into a world she’s never seen. Along the way, she realizes things are more dangerous than she ever imagined. The contaminated, feral people, from the old outbreak wander the woods, and worst still, Anna realizes one of these factions, the Berserkers, are responsible for the murder of her brother. When she joins Peter’s village, the settlement is on edge. A Berserker has been captured by the townsfolk and is sentenced to die for his crimes. The leaders of the village are religious zealots and soon Anna discovers their intentions are not what they appeared. Anna finds herself trapped between the Zealots and the Berserkers. She must use all her skills to survive the war and find a new home in a desolated world where civilization has collapsed.”
And how do those feral people survive?
