The Forgiven Movie

The Forgiven movieCheck out the official plot synopsis of The Forgiven, the upcoming drama thriller movie directed by Roland JoffĂ© from a script he co-wrote with Michael Ashton and based on Ashton’s play “The Archbishop And The Antichrist”:

Plot synopsis:
“The story takes place in post-apartheid South Africa. Archbishop Desmond Tutu (Forest Whitaker) finds himself morally and intellectually challenged by Piet Blomfield (Vince Vaughn), a convicted murderer serving a life sentence in prison and seeking redemption for the atrocities he committed. Tutu must fight to hold together a country threatening to tear itself apart once again without losing himself in the process.”

Forest Whitaker can definitely play an archbishop. But I find hard to imagine chubby and joyous Vince Vaughn as a murderer, that said, he could well surprise us.

No official release date yet.

Anyway, stay tuned with us for more details about the movie The Forgiven.

Incident in a Ghost Land Movie

Incident in a Ghost Land MovieCheck out the plot synopsis of Incident in a Ghost Land, the upcoming horror thriller movie written and directed by French Filmmaker Pascal Laugier (who helmed the original Martyrs movie) and starring Mylene Farmer, Crystal Reed, and Anastasia Philips:

Plot synopsis:
“The story is set in rural America, in a falsely bucolic setting and revolves around a mother (Mylène Farmer) and her two daughters (Crystal Reed and Anastasia Philips). The mother inherits a house from her Aunt. It’s isolated, lost in the middle of the woods. And on the first night in the new home she is confronted with murderous intruders and fights for her daughters’ lives.
When the girls suffer this terrible childhood trauma, their disparate personalities diverge even further. One is said to become a famous horror author, with a perfect family and life in Los Angeles, while the other can’t cope, and loses her mind.
Fifteen years late they reunite at the house, but then things go wrong… The threat that they thought defeated may have survived… Unless all of this is only a collective delusion, the story of a morbid dysfunction between a mother and her children…”

The Director said he hopes to emulate Stephen King’s dark horror with this film.

Filming should start sometime in August in Toronto, Canada. So I guess they’re eying a release date in 2017.

Anyway, stay tuned with us for more details about the movie Incident in a Ghost Land.

Plot synopsis:
“From legendary Academy-Award winning director Warren Beatty, comes RULES DON’T APPLY. Blending equal measures of humor and heart, this is the unconventional love story of an aspiring actress (Lily Collins), her determined driver (Alden Ehrenreich), and the eccentric billionaire (Warren Beatty) who they work for.
It’s Hollywood, 1958. Small town beauty queen and devout Baptist Marla Mabrey (Collins), under contract to the infamous Howard Hughes (Beatty), arrives in Los Angeles. At the airport, she meets her personal driver Frank Forbes (Ehrenreich), only two weeks on the job and also from a religiously conservative background.
Their instant attraction not only puts their religious convictions to the test, but also defies Hughes’ #1 rule: no employee is allowed to have an intimate relationship with a contract actress. But Hughes’ absurd behavior intersects with Marla and Frank in very separate and unexpected ways, and as they are drawn deeper into his bizarre world, their values are challenged and their lives are changed.”

Actress Lily Collins is really cute, isn’t she?

Plot synopsis:
“Three-time Academy Award winner Ang Lee brings his extraordinary vision to Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, based on the widely-acclaimed, bestselling novel. The film is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn) who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad – contrasting the realities of the war with America’s perceptions.
Lee used new technology, shooting at an ultra-high frame rate for the first time in film history, to create an immersive digital experience helping him dramatize war in a way never seen before.”

He looks so young… what a pity that going to war is still necessary at times…

His solitude is interrupted, however, when he receives a visit from some surprise guests—his estranged son (Jack Kilmer) and pop star protĂ©gĂ© (Juno Temple)—who arrive with complications of their own and who shake the prickly Len out of his stupor. Propelled by an irresistible performance from Ifans, Len and Company offers wry and incisive observations on fame and family”
