Actor Nicolas Cage has been spotted on the set of Pay the Ghost, an upcoming supernatural thriller movie directed by Uli Edel based on a script by Dan Kay, take a look below:

(Click on a picture to enlarge.)

Plot:
“A professor frantically searches for his son who was abducted during a Halloween parade.”

There’s also a video from the set:

And thanks to a French network here’s another behind-the-scenes video with some actual footage (starting the 3:17 mark):

Pay the Ghost – Set visit – “Dad, can you pay the ghost?”

So thanks to Nicolas Cage in the video above we learn a bit more about the plot of Pay the Ghost:

“On Halloween – aka Samhain – the veil between the spirit world and the physical world is very thin. You can communicate with spirits and cross over.
What happens to Charlie (Nicolas Cage’s son in the film) is that he is abducted during the Halloween Samhain period and goes to another dimension, into the spirit realm. And Nicolas Cage has only one year to get him back.”

The plot kind of reminds me of Insidious, but with its own twist. Am hooked!

Besides Nicolas Cage, the cast also includes Sarah Wayne Callies, Lyriq Bent, Veronica Ferres, Erin Boyes, Elizabeth Jeanne le Roux, Jack Fulton, Sofia Wells, and Juan Carlos Velis.

The film has yet to get an official release date. But it will probably hit theaters sometime in 2015.

ROBOT OVERLORDS

Mankind may fall. Heroes will rise.

Well, it does look like an entertaining movie. But I don’t understand why robots from another galaxy would invade earth just to force people to stay in their homes… That’s kind of dumb… Anyway, I’ll watch it!
