Anomalisa A stop-motion animated movie

This new featurette will give you a better idea of all the work involved in a stop-motion animated movie like Anomalisa:

1261 faces. Over 1000 costumes and props. 118,089 frames of film. 3 years in the making.

Plot synopsis:
“Michael Stone, an author of books on the subject of customer service, struggles with his inability to connect to people. One night, while on a routine business trip, he meets a stranger who changes his world view.”

While I can recognize they did a hell of a job here, I don’t really get why they just didn’t use CG animation for this particular movie….

The film is directed by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson. It will be released on December 30, 2015.
