I’ve just spotted the first official trailer of Damascus Cover, the upcoming spy thriller movie directed by Daniel Berk based on a script by Daniel Zelik Berk and Samantha Newton and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Olivia Thirlby, John Hurt, and Jurgen Prochnow:

DAMASCUS COVERPlot synopsis:
“A veteran spy is sent undercover in Syria in 1989 to smuggle a chemical weapons scientist and his family out of Damascus. Within days of his arrival he realizes he’s being followed, his partner doesn’t show, his local contact disappears, and a group of men are trying to kill him. It is not long before his routine mission unravels to reveal a string of murderous conspirators. Marked for death and caught in a maddening puzzle, he must race for survival.”

This picture makes me wish Jonathan Rhys Meyers would take over the role of James Bond!
