Andrew garfield Haksaw Ridge movie

Plot:
“The true World War II tale of the epic battle to take the infamous Japanese stronghold, HACKSAW RIDGE. The unlikely hero who turned the tide of the violent and bloody battle was a soldier who refused to bear arms, American Army Medic Desmond T Doss (Andrew Garfield), whose heroism turned him from a pariah to a hero in the eyes of his fellow soldiers, and led him to become the first Conscientious Objector in American history to win the Congressional Medal of Honor.”

Well Actor Andrew Garfield sure does look the part as a combat medic on the battlefield, doesn’t he?

Still no official release date.

An important movie Andrew Garfield, Mel Gibson, Vaughn, Worthington. In 1970 I wrote a World Almanac Fact about Pvt Doss which was sent to 600 newspapers. I was surprised to learn he grew up in Lynchburg near Appomattax where the Civil War ended. I live in the Wilderness battlefield and have visited all of the 4 bloody battlefields around Fredericksburg. Randall Wallace went to High school in Lynchburg also! Small world. Through Google I recently learned that my Louden clan is part of the Campbell clan which William Wallace was also part of! Small World.
Hacksaw Ridge like Pork Chop Hill was a bloody location. A personal suggestion
BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY would be a title every serviceman would agree with. A difficult film to make action wise but the plot is so important in a world of unChristian violence. Jesus bless you Mel Gibson, Andrew Garfield, Vince Vaughan and Avatar Worthington, a wounded soldier? Clive Louden
