Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV Movie trailer

You may watch below the first official trailer of Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV, the upcoming science-fiction CG animated movie directed by Takeshi Nozue based on a script by Takashi Hasegawa:

A kingdom protected by a crystal.
An empire of powerful machines.
They must fight to secure the throne, all for the future king

Plot synopsis:
“The magical kingdom of Lucis is home to the world’s last remaining Crystal, and the menacing empire of Niflheim is determined to steal it. King Regis (voiced by Sean Bean) of Lucis commands an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive. Wielding their king’s magic, they fight to protect Lucis. As the overwhelming military might of the empire bears down, King Regis is faced with an impossible ultimatum — to marry his son, Prince Noctis (voiced by Aaron Paul) to Princess Lunafreya (voiced by Lena Headey) of Tenebrae, captive of Niflheim, and surrender his lands to Niflheim rule. Although the king concedes, it becomes clear that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their devious goals, with only the Kingsglaive standing between them and world domination.”

The voice cast includes:
– Aaron Paul as Nyx Ulric, a member of Regis’ Kingsglaive guard and the film’s main protagonist.
– Sean Bean as Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII, Noctis’ father and King of Lucis, and guardian of the crystal.
– Lena Headey as Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, Noctis’ childhood friend and fiancée, and an Oracle from the autonomous imperial province of Tenebrae.

The animation is not really fluid at times, but it’s overall rather pretty. Sign me up for Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV !
