The Sea of trees MovieWe’ve got our hands on the first official trailer of The Sea of Trees, the upcoming drama movie directed by Gus Van Sant and starring Matthew McConaughey, Ken Watanabe, and Naomi Watts:


THE SEA OF TREES
Plot synopsis:
“An American man, Arthur Brennan (Matthew McConaughey), travels to the ‘Suicide Forest’ (Aokigahara forest) to kill himself at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, the site of numerous suicides. There he encounters a Japanese man, Takumi Nakamura (Ken Watanabe), who wants to kill himself as well, and both men begin a journey of self-reflection and survival.”

So the whole film is a walk in the suicide forest? And both chaps are delusional? Well, you can still sign me up for The Sea of Trees, it’s starring Matthew McConaughey and Ken Watanabe after all, and they’re both awesome actors.

The film has yet to get a U.S. release date.
