Plot:
“Set in mountainous Sevier County, Tennessee, Child of God tells the story of Lester Ballard, a dispossessed, violent man whom the narrator describes as ‘ child of God much like yourself perhaps’. Ballard’s life is a disastrous attempt to exist outside the social order. Successively deprived of parents and homes and with few other ties, Ballard descends literally and figuratively to the level of a cave dweller as he falls deeper into crime and degradation.”

Have you read the novel the film is based on? Worth reading beforehand or should I just wait for the film?

Actor Scott Haze got the lead role as Lester Ballard.

Well, the eruption that destroyed Pompeii sure was a disaster. But it isn’t History’s greatest disaster that the marketing team behind the film wants you to believe… “Only” around 16,000 people died from the eruption.
