Watch this new hilarious trailer of Youth in Revolt, the upcoming comedy starring Michael Cera:
YOUTH IN REVOLT
Plot:
“While his trailer trash parents teeter on the edge of divorce, 14-year-old Nick sets his sights on dream girl Sheeni Saunders, hoping that she’ll be the one to take away his virginity.”
Nick (Michael Cera) is really determined to conquer the heart of that girl! He even try to set a building ablaze! Not a role model, but his pathetic misdemeanor is so funny to watch.

Greenberg is an upcoming movie written and directed by Noah Baumbach. It is starring Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans, Mark Duplass, Brie Larson, Juno Temple , and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The film is set for a release on March 12, 2010. Here below the first official movie trailer of Greenberg:
GREENBERG
Plot:
“At a crossroads in his life, Roger Greenberg (Ben Stiller) ends up housesitting at his brother’s home in Los Angeles. There, he strikes up an unlikely friendship with his brother’s assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer. Florence and Greenberg’s encounters lead to an uncertain and wonderfully vulnerable courtship.”
The movie Greenberg is more drama than comedy: I am quite surprised to see Stiller in this role. I wonder how the film is going to turn out. Just judging from the trailer of Greenberg, it could be an interesting movie.

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are back together for the movie Universal Soldier 3, aka Universal Soldier Regeneration. The film is directed by John Hyams and is set for a direct-to-DVD release on DVD February 2, 2010. Here below the official movie trailer of Universal Soldier 3:
UNIVERSAL SOLDIER 3
Plot:
“With stolen top-secret technology, terrorists have created a next-generation Universal Soldier – an elite fighter genetically altered into a programmable killing machine. With this UniSol (Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei The Pit Bull Arlovski) leading the way, they seize the crippled Chernobyl nuclear reactor, threatening to unleash a lethal radioactive cloud. The only one who can stop them is Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a UniSol who’s been decommissioned for years. Reactivated and retrained, Deveraux must make a full-out assault on the heavily armed fortress. But inside, he’ll discover not one but two of these virtually indestructible warriors. Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren), Deveraux’s vicious UniSol enemy from the original Universal Soldier, has been secretly reanimated and upgraded. Now, these elite fighters are locked, loaded and programmed to kill; and the fate of millions hinges on this high-action showdown.”
The movie looks a bit cheesy and outdated… The first Universal Soldier movie was really something new, it did bring something to the world of science fiction. But Universal Soldier 3 is just a bland variation on an old theme… I’d suggest to watch Gamer again than the movie Universal Soldier 3 if you really want to watch an explosive sci-fi action movie.

You may watch below a featurette of the Wolman, the upcoming remake movie directed by Directed by Joe Johnston and starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving and Art Malik:
Comments Off on That’s Awesome! Panic Attack Short Film
Uruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez worked on Panic Attack, a sci-fi short film that revolves around the invasion of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, by giant robots. He released his short film on youtube two weeks ago, and it’s going viral since:
PANIC ATTACK!
It is said that the short film PAnic attack was made on a shoestring budget of only $300! That’s a damn ridiculous amount for such an impressive result! New technologies are really empowering independent filmmakers! Continue reading »
The first official movie trailer of Beastly, the upcoming fantasy drama movie starring Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mary-Kate Olsen, has been released:
BEASTLY
Plot:
“When a spell is cast on a handsome egocentric young man (Alex Pettyfer) that physically transforms him into everything he despises, he has one year to find a young woman (Vanessa Hudgens) who will love him despite his hideous form or the spell will last forever.”
The movie is based on Alex Flinn’s book of the same name. Some are touting this film as a potential competitor to Twilight, but it’s unlikely to perform as well… Still the movie Beastly may interest, if not convert, a significant part of the Twilight fans.

Two clips of Brothers, the upcoming drama movie directed by Jim Sheridan and starring Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Tobey Maguire, are now available:
Brothers – I’m no hero.
That’s exactly how Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) would react if he’d have lost his powers!
Entertainment Tonight had the chance to visit the set of Knight and Day, the upcoming comedy movie directed by James Mangold and starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz:
KNIGHT AND DAY Set Visit
Plot:
“A woman (Cameron Diaz) who has terrible luck with men finds her path intertwined with that of a mysterious handsome man (Tom Cruise) she meets on a blind date.”
I suppose ET visited the set of Knight and Day when the crew was still in the USA. But they have since moved to Sevilla in Spain. Here’s a clip of Knight and Day, it was taken by a passer-by on his phone cam:
Looks like Tom Cruise is hell bent on doing all the stunts of Knight and Day himself.

In this new Avatar featurette, Actor Stephen Lang, who plays the role of Colonel Miles Quaritch the chief of security on Pandora, talks about his character’s mission and the themes and dynamics of the storyline, besides there is a lot of new footage of Avatar:
Letters to Juliet is an upcoming romantic drama movie directed by Gary Winick and based on the book written by based on the novel written by Lise and Ceil Friedman. The film is starring Amanda Seyfried (who plays in Mamma Mia! and Jennifer’s Body), Gael Garcia Bernal, Vanessa Redgrave, and Christopher Egan. It will be released on May 7, 2010.
Here below the movie trailer of Letters to Juliet:
LETTERS TO JULIET
The greatest love story ever told is your own
Plot:
“An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered ‘letter to Juliet’ — one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the ‘secretaries of Juliet’ — and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.”
The plot of Letters to Juliet is kind of generic. But maybe the goal is not to tell an edifying story, I actually suspect the movie Letters to Juliet to be a shameless promotion for the beautiful landscapes of Italy where the film takes place. Because now I want to book a flight ticket to go there!

A new creepy trailer of Season of the Witch has shown up online. Season of the Witch is a fantasy horror movie set in the Middle Age, it’s directed by Dominic Sena and starring Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, and Claire Foy:
There is a force ruled by darkness,
dedicated to death and destruction.
To save Mankind these warriors must pass through Hell
With Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman
Plot:
“The journey of a 14th century knight transporting a girl suspected of being the witch responsible for spreading the Black Plague.”
I was already hooked by the story of Season of the Witch. And now after watching this new trailer of Season of the Witch, I’m definitely impatient to watch the movie: Hollywood should bring more of those fantasy movies set in the Middle Age!
Anyway, the movie Season of the Witch will hit theaters on March 19, 2010.
