Paul Blart Mall Cop is an upcoming hilarious comedy produced by Adam Sandler and directed by Steve Carr. It is staring Kevin James and Jayma Mays. It will be released on January 16, 2009. The movie is poking fun at big fat guy who’s a mall security agent and who’s dreaming of being a cop.
Here below the first Paul Blart Mall Cop movie trailer:
Plot:
“Mall cop Paul Blart loves his job but his enthusiasm and dedication gets only contempt from his colleagues and the mall employees. Paul finally gets the respect he deserves when he thwarts Veck Sims’ master plan to rob the entire mall, and in the process earns the love of kiosk owner Naomi when he saves both her and his own daughter, Maya, from the bad guys.” (Source: Coming Soon)
Principal shooting took place at the Burlington Mall in Burlington, Massachusetts. From late March until mid-April, the mall and its stores were decorated with Christmas decorations, and there was a large prop ball-pit in the main foyer of the mall. Shooting took place mostly at night. The South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts was the location of subsequent shooting.
Sure that fat people can do heroic things and in this case, I think that Paul Blart Mall Cop is a damned hilarious movie! Nonetheless, one shouldn’t do like the mall cop: better to exercise regularly and to watch one’s weight! I must admit though that I’d stop walking if I had a Segway like Kevin James in the movie Mall Cop…

Have you ever heard about vegetarian dogs? Well, some crazy pet owners do torture their dogs by feeding them only with vegetables… Like Emily (Rosario Dawson) does in Seven Pounds, an upcoming drama movie directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Will Smith as the lead character. Let’s watch this Seven Pounds clip: Continue reading »
Little Ashes is upcoming movie starring Robert Pattinson as Dali. It dwells on the special relationship the surrealist Painter had with some of his close male friends.
This movie was probably filmed before or in parallel to Twilight. I hope Robert Pattinson will never get cold feet because of his new twilitesque success and that he will still dare to nicely surprise with movies such as Little Ashes.

Comments Off on Benjamin Button Is A Pro Life Movie
Pro-Life activists are going to really enjoy The Curious Case of benjamin Button, David Fincher’s latest movie. I didn’t think the movie could be somehow pro life until I saw those two new Benjamin Button clips:
Despereaux tries to tell Chef Andre about the Princess’ capture.
I think the marketing team behind Th Tale of Despereaux did not select the right clip to promote the film. Moment, a rodent in a kitchen in a CGI animated movie, does not ring a bell for you? Yeap, Ratatouille! But the two movies can’t really compare… The Tale of Despereaux is maybe an entertaining movie, but it hardly brings anything new… Besides Despereaux isn’t a kitchen mouse: so why did they select this particular clip for promoting the Tale of Despereaux?

A remake of Friday The 13th, another cult slasher movie, will be released in February 2009. Let’s watch the latest full length trailer of Friday The 13th:

Comments Off on Race To Witch Mountain International Trailer
Dwayne Johnson is taxi driver turned nanny for young human-like aliens in Race To Witch Mountain, an upcoming science-fiction movie by Walt Disney Pictures. Here below the latest international trailer of Race To Witch Mountain:
In the movie Race To Witch Mountain the taxi driver played by Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock would have expected green little aliens with antennas instead of teenagers on the run.
What about you? How do you imagine an alien encounter? Like in the movie Race To Witch Mountain?

Robert Pattinson, the 107-years-old-but-still-virgin vampire from Twilight, is playing the lead role of Dali in Little Ashes an upcoming drama shedding light on the closet relationship the famous surrealist painter may had have with his male friends. The film is directed by Paul Morrison and is starring Javier Beltran, Matthew McNulty, Marina Gatell and Arly Jover Little Ashes should be released in Spring 2009, no official date yet.
Here below two clips of the Little Ashes movie:
Plot:
“In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of Jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dali arrives at the university; 18 years old and determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university’s social elite – Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunel. Salvador is absorbed into their decadent group and for a time Salvador, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. However as time passes, Salvador feels and increasingly strong pull towards the charismatic Federico – who is himself oblivious of the attentions he is getting from his beautiful writer friends, Margarita. Finaly, in the face of his friends’ preoccupations – and Federico’s growing renown as a poet – Luis sets off for Paris in search of his own artistic success. Federico and Salvador spend the holiday in the sea-side town of Cadaques. Both the idyllic surroundings and the warmth of the Dali family sweep Federico off his feet. Salvador and he draw closer, sharing their deepest beliefs, inspirations and secrets, convinced that they have found a kind of friendship undreamt of by others. It is more that a meeting of the minds; it is a fusion of souls. And then one night, in the phosphorescent water, it becomes something else…” (Source: IMDb)
There are two interesting quotes related to this movie that are worth a read. The first is from Dali denying ever entering a relationship with his friend Lorca:
“He was homosexual, as everyone knows, and madly in love with me…He tried to screw me twice… I was extremely annoyed, because I wasn’t homosexual, and I wasn’t interested in giving in. Besides, it hurts. So nothing came of it.”
Salvador Dali
And the second quote is from Scriptwriter Philippa Goslett justifying her decision to depict the affair between Lorca and Dali as fact:
Having done a huge amount of research, it’s clear something happened, no question… When you look at the letters it’s clear something more was going on there….It began as a friendship, became more intimate and moved to a physical level but Dalí found it difficult and couldn’t carry on. He said they tried to have sex but it hurt, so they couldn’t consummate the relationship.
Philippa Goslett
(Scriptwriter of Little Ashes)
If Dali was stopped only because he was afraid to hurt, I hope he learned about lube eventually… Can be useful for straight relations too actually!
By the way the movie takes its title from Salvador Dali’s 1927-28 painting Cenicitas (Little Ashes). It was originally called The Birth of Venus, before being changed to Sterile Efforts and then finally Cencita:

Maybe the relation between Edward and Jacob in twilight was of the hurting kind too before Bella came in? Joking. Robert Pattinson’s performance in Little Ashes shows that this actor is more than the only product of twilight: he was talented before the romantic vampire film and probably has a long movie career ahead of him. Don’t forget about the movie Little Ashes when it’s released!

Take a look to those two new TV spots of Gran Torino, upcoming movie directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Ahney Her and Bee Vang besides Clint Eastwood himself:
In a neighborhood without boundaries one man will draw the line!
From Director Clint Eastwood
GRAN TORINO
There seems to be much more action than what I have first expected in the movie Gran Torino! Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) is as determined as the Dirty Harry!

Keanu Reeves is such an Adonis that when he blinked the Earth Stood Still! Don’t believe me? Then check this new clip of The Day The Earth Stood Still that aired during The Shield Finale:
The first Wolverine is maybe not yet out but get ready for Wolverine 2. In a recent interview given to MTV (here) Hugh Jackman, who plays the role Logan aka Wolverine in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, has talked about the direction a Wolverine sequel may take:
Below a transcript where he talks about what should be done in the Wolverine movie sequel:
“The most intriguing thing to me was the Japan story. I love the Japan story. I wanted to do the Japan story from around X-Men 2. Can you just picture Wolverine in Japan with the triads and the samurai? It’s just genius. Comedically and dramatically, I thought, ‘This is awesome!’ But how can you do that before you explain his origins? If we tried to mix the origin and Japan together, it wouldn’t do justice to either. So you can tell by the answer where I’d like it to go.”
Hugh Jackman
I totally agree with Hugh Jackman: the Japan plot sounds damned appealing! I really want this japan story to go through for the Wolverine sequel.
Adoration is an upcoming drama movie directed by Atom Egoyan. The film is starring Rachel Blanchard, Scott Speedman, and Devon Bostick. Adoration is slated for a limited release on May 8, 2009.
The film was first shown in May 2008 at the Cannes Film Festival. Adoration won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury and was nominated for the Palme d’Or.
Here below the first official trailer of the movie Adoration:
Plot:
“An adolescent, Simon, reinvents his life on the Internet by recreating his life around two historical figures. His story provokes strong reactions throughout the world. Cyberspace is a forum for victims. But is it a place for redemption?”
The plot sounds a bit too intricate to me, but the soundtrack of the movie, if as well chosen as in this trailer of Adoration, could get me into following the kid trying to learn the truth and discover things.
Director Atom Egoyan seems intrigued by the potential uses and abuses of technology. We may see the teenager having video chat sessions: just hope that Director Erdogan does not abuse of this plot gimmick in the movie Adoration.
