Thanks to Netflix here’s a new full-length trailer for Barry, the upcoming drama biography movie directed by Vikram Gandhi and starring Devon Terrell as Barack Obama in his twenties:

“A young Barack Obama (Devon Terrell), known to his friends as ‘Barry’, arrives in New York City in the fall of 1981 to begin his junior year at Columbia University. In a crime-ridden and racially charged environment, Barry finds himself pulled between various social spheres and struggles to maintain a series of increasingly strained relationships with his Kansas-born mother, his estranged Kenyan father, and his classmates.Barry is the story of a young man grappling with those same issues that his country, and arguably the world, are still coming to terms with 35 years later.”

Barack Obama may claimed he was black to get elected. But he’s actually a mixed race chap. I wish he would have been more vocal about it during his presidency because the future is mixed.

The film will be released on December 16, 2016 on Netflix.

I’d rather watch a movie about Barry Allen, but well this movie about Barack “Barry” Obama doesn’t look that bad, I could give it a try. Do you think Donald will see it?

Plot synopsis:
“Twenty-year-old Barry (Devon Terrell) arrives in a New York City where turf wars pervade every milieu, from the basketball courts to the university campus where he is bullied by police on his first night. He starts dating a white woman from his political science class. He attends a party in a Harlem housing project. With his Kenyan father and Kansas-born mother, Barry should be able to slip between racially coded camps. Instead, he feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere.”

There’s already “Southisde With You“, about the first date of Barack and Michelle. And now, this film? People want to milk Barack Obama’s life, don’t they?

Beside Devon Terrell, the cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Mitchell, Ellar Coltrane, Ashley Judd, and Jenna Elfman.

The film has yet to get an official release date.
