A first official look at Buffaloed, the upcoming drama comedy movie directed by Tanya Wexler based on a script by Brian Sacca and starring Zoey Deutch:

Plot synopsis:
“This Raucous comedy is set in the underworld of debt collecting and follows a homegrown hustler, Peg Dahl (Zoey Deutch), who will do anything to escape Buffalo, NY. After getting into some trouble, she finds herself crippled by debt, and with her chances of a brighter future outside of her hometown squandered, she decides to become a debt collector herself and wages war with the city’s debt-collecting ‘kingpin’.”

Is it really that bad in Buffalo that one would want to “escape”?

Besides Zoey Deutch, the cast also includes Judy Greer, Jai Courtney, Lusia Strus, Noah Reid, Jayne Eastwood, Jermaine Fowler, Raymond Ablack, Brian Sacca, Alex Harrouch, Lorrie Odom, Kate Moyer, Nicholas Carella, Casey Hudecki, Jackie English, David Tompa, Ted Ludzik, Nicole Williams, Malube Uhindu-Gingala, Julian Lewis, Elena Khan, Ryan Turner, Tammie Sutherland, and Paulyne Wei.

The film has yet to get an official release date.
