Those poor migrants are facing much danger to reach the USA… I wish they would rather stay in their home country and strive to make it a better place.

The film was ready for release long ago, but I think they postponed its release to this October expecting to have some influence over the presidential election: I guess they hope the film will push more Hispanics to go vote on D-day.

Plot:
“Moises (Gael García Bernal) travels with a group of immigrants through an unguarded, hellish section of the Sonoran desert trying to cross into the United States, when suddenly, a shot rings out- they fall into the sight of Sam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a deranged vigilante who is taking border laws into his own hands, shooting off the immigrants one by one. A sinister cat and mouse chase begins, set against the backdrop of this brutal yet beautiful landscape, and Moises must find a way to outwit his hunter in order to survive and not become another victim of this forsaken land.”
