Who are the Celts? What have the Romans ever done for us? And why is Emperor Nero dousing himself in horse wee?
Friends, Romans, Celts… lend us your ears. The all-conquering Romans rule the civilized world – and that includes ‘the stain’ that is Britain. While the young Emperor Nero must battle his scheming mother Agrippina for ultimate power, Celt queen Boudicca gathers an army in Britain to repel the rotten Romans. Mixed up in this battle for liberation are the teenage Atti, a reluctant Roman soldier, and Orla, a young Celt with dreams of becoming a warrior like Boudicca. Will they fall on opposite sides or forge a friendship in the chaos of Celtic-inspired rebellion?”

Plot synopsis:
“The world’s best-selling children’s history brand is coming to cinemas this summer.
HORRIBLE HISTORIES: THE MOVIE – ROTTEN ROMANS will transport audiences back to Roman Britain and embrace the timeless, irreverent humor of the successful books and TV series.
Atti is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn. When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero, Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain. Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla, a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca. As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.”
