We just spotted this new poster of Hump, the upcoming animated adventure movie directed by Rob Gibbs:

Plot synopsis:
“A timid a young camel cross the Arabian Desert with a pair of unlikely companions, an ill-tempered goat and an overconfident desert fox, in order to reunite with Omar, his owner and best friend, a 10-year-old Bedouin boy.”

And a new promo concept art released for Mother’s Day gives us a first official look at Omar and his mother:

So far, the voice cast includes:
– Gaten Matarazzo as the lead character Rami, a camel;
– Simon Pegg as the villain Basil, a badger;
– and Ramy Youssef as Omar.

The journey of a lifetime just hit a bump in the road!

Plot synopsis:
“The film follows the misadventures of Rami, a timid, yet kindhearted camel who sets out on a daring journey across the Arabian Desert with a pair of unlikely companions, an ill-tempered goat and an overconfident desert fox, determined to reunite him with his owner and best friend, Omar, a 10 year-old Bedouin boy.”

This could be much fun. Let’s hope they will release a teaser trailer soon so we may get a better idea of what to expect.

The journey of a lifetime just hit a bump in the road.

Plot synopsis:
“Set among the rolling dunes of a vast and exotic Arabian desert, a Bedouin boy named Omar and his best friend, a bumbling, yet sweetly sincere Camel named Rami frolic and play among the dunes, oases and plains without a care in the world.
This suddenly changes when one fateful night Omar’s mother suddenly falls very ill. In a panic, Omar’s father packs up the family in their off-roader (the human members, anyway!) and make a midnight rush to the distant city hospital in order to give Mum the care she so desperately needs, leaving Rami behind in deep sleep, despite Omar’s protests.
Determined to find his best friend and reunite himself with his family, Rami summons all his courage to set out on an epic journey across the desert.
Joined by a cunning desert fox who claiming to be a prince, and a cynical goat who is always in a terrible mood (although she has a lovely singing voice), Rami has to overcome mirages, sand spiders, the crazy desert inhabitants and the tyranny of distance to become the heroic steed of the desert he was born to be.

Plot synopsis:
“Rescued as a newborn among the rolling dunes of an unforgiving Arabian desert by a Bedouin boy named Omar, camel Rami grows to become Omar’s best and most loyal friend. One night, when Omar’s mother falls very ill, his father puts all of them in their truck as they make a mad rush toward the city for help, leaving Rami behind in his deep sleep. Determined to find his best friend, Rami takes all his courage to set out on an epic journey across the desert. Joined by a cunning desert fox, claiming to be a prince, and a mistrusting goat, Rami has to overcome mirages and sand spiders to become the steed of the desert he was born to be, before being reunited with his best friend.”
