The sequel to Pacific Rim 2 which wa spreviously titled Pacific Rim Maelstom has been officially retitled Pacific Rim Uprising. And Actor John Boyega shared a first official picture from the film:
“The sequel takes place years after the first film, focusing on the aftermath of the Kaiju war and fate of the Jaeger technology.”

The film is directed by Steven S. DeKnight based on a script by DeKnight, Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder, and T.S. Nowlin from a story by Guillermo del Toro.
The release date of the movie Pacific Rim 2 Uprising is set to February 23, 2018.
