Let’s watch the official trailer of Young Ones, the upcoming science-fiction movie written and directed by Jake Paltrow and starring Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Elle Fanning, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Aimee Mullins:
YOUNG ONESPlot:
“Set in the future when water is hard to find a teenage boy sets out to protect his family and survive.
Ernest Holm (Michael Shannon) lives on this harsh frontier with his children, Jerome (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Mary (Elle Fanning). He defends his farm from bandits, works the supply routes, and hopes to rejuvenate the soil. But Mary’s boyfriend, Flem Lever (Nicholas Hoult), has grander designs. He wants Ernest’s land for himself, and will go to any length to get it. ”

Not all children have a childhood.
Love the trailer, am definitely hooked and I want to see the whole thing. But the post-apoclayptic world of this film is based on “fake” science… Water can’t vanish like that from the whole world… It has to go somewhere (maybe it’s salty?). And let’s not forget that scarcity increases an item’s relative price based upon its relatively low supply. So instead of working for facebook or snapchat our engineers would have a real incentive to work on water-related issues (like desalination for example) to keep the liquid flowing.
The film has yet to get an official release date. But I heard it could possibly get released sometime in October 2014.
