Jem Movie

The main cast of Jem and the Holograms, the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of the 1980’s animated TV series, has been revealed, and we even have pictures:

Plot:
“Music executive, Jerrica Benton, lives a secret, adventurous life as a glamorous rock star named Jem.”

Let’s put names on those pictures:

– Aubrey Peeples got the lead role as Jem
– Stefanie Scott will play the role of Kimber, Jem’s sister
– Aurora Perrineau is Shana
– and Hayley Kiyoko (Lemonade Mouth) is Aja.

The film is directed by John M. Chu based on a script by Ryan Landels. It has yet to get an official release date.

I definitely dig the aesthetic of Sin City and the upcoming sequel. I wish Warner Bros would hire Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller to bring us a new Batman movie using the same style. What do you think?
