Plot:
“The film is a drama about fate, circumstance, and redemption. Russell (Christian Bale) and his younger brother (Casey Affleck) live in the economically depressed Rust Belt, and have always dreamed of escaping and finding better lives. But when a cruel twist of fate lands Russell in prison, his brother is lured into one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast – a mistake that will almost cost him everything. Once released, Russell must choose between his own freedom, or risk it all to seek justice for his brother.”

The film is starring Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Sam Shepard, Zoe Saldana, Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker, and Woody Harrelson.

The release date of Out of the Furnace is set for December 6, 2013.

12 Years A Slave Movie

A first official look at 12 Years A Slave, the upcoming biography drama movie directed by Steve McQueen and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor:

Plot:
“Northup, a black man living (Chiwetel Ejiofor) in New York during the mid-1800s is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the deep south.”

The film is based on the true story of Solomon Northup a black man who was born free in New York state but abducted, sold into slavery and kept in bondage for 12 years in Louisiana before the American Civil War.

Besides Chiwetel Ejiofor, the cast also includes Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano, Sarah Paulson, Alfre Woodard, Paul Giamatti, and Lupita Nyong’o.
