Well, thought 300 Rise of an Empire was supposed to be a prequel (in real life the battle of Marathon the film is based on took place before the battle with the Spartans from 300) , but it’s actually set as a sequel to 300. Hollywood loves to rewrite History for the sake of entertainment! Anyway, the trailer does looks amazing, can’t wait to see the film!

Project Kronos is an awesome science-fiction short film written and directed by Hasraf Dulull, a visual effects supervisor. It’s a fake documentary about mankind’s first travel to the stars. It’s definitely worth watching:

GI Joe 2 Retaliation did rather well in theaters: the film already grossed more than $365 million worldwide for a production budget at $130 million hence making a hefty profit. And it’s a franchise with a huge appeal. So I guess you aren’t surprised to hear that Paramount Pictures and MGM are planning a third movie. There’s going to be a GI Joe 3 movie indeed. Director John M. Chu who helmed GI Joe 2 will be back to helm the new installment.

The plot hasn’t been revealed yet. Actually, the studios haven’t even hired a scriptwriter yet. But for sure Cobra Cobra Commander will be once again scheming to dominate the world and Actor Dwayne Johnson, Ray Park and Byung-hun Lee will likely reprise their roles. There’s word of the Baroness (played by Sienna Miller in the first film) coming back for GI joe 3. Would Actress Sienna Miller reprise her role?

Now that Storm Shadow is at odds with Cobra, will he join Snake Eyes and the GI Joes? Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow would make a hell of a great team!

Man of Steel, Zack Snyder’s upcoming take on Superman, hasn’t hit theaters yet, but Warner Bros is already planning a sequel! Scriptwriter David S. Goyer who penned the script of the first film has indeed been tasked with writing a script for Man of Steel 2. Director Zack Snyder will likely return and Christopher Nolan will stay on board as producer, but with a much diminished input to the project (he’s busy working on other projects). Obviously, Actor Henry Cavill is reprising his role as Superman.

The film will likely expand the story of Superman in the world of DC Comics. We may expect other DC Comics superheroes to show up or to be referred to so as to pave the way for a Justice League movie.

The Purge, the horror thriller movie starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, has hit US theaters and has been doing more than well. So it’s no wonder to hear that they’re now planning a sequel to the film. Yep, they’re going to develop The Purge 2.

The first film was produced by Blumhouse, the company behind the “Paranormal Activity” movies, a company used to transform low-budget films into profit-machine franchises. They have already applied for a California tax break on a sequel and have confirmed via their twitter account that The Purge 2 is indeed in development.

The ending of the first film and the overall concept definitely grant a sequel. Unfortunately Actor Ethan Hawke is unlikely to return since the character he plays was fatally stabbed with a machete in the first film. But the sequel could focus on his wife who’s a real survivor. Or The Purge 2 could also move to a new location with a new group of characters.
