Director Paul W.S. Anderson, the man behind the Resident Evil movies, is working on Pompeii, an action adventure drama movie set in Ancient times. For those who don’t know, Pompeii was an ancient Roman city, it was destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 meters of ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Here’s the movie plot synopsis:

Plot:
“Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city’s coliseum.”

Since Director Paul W.S Anderson is helming the film I guess we may expect much action!

The cast includes Kit Harington, Emily Browning, Jared Harris, Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas. The release date of Pompeii is set for February 28, 2014.

Dreamworks Animation announced that Kung Fu Panda 3 will be released in theaters on December 23, 2015. Director Jennifer Yuh who helmed the second installment is back for the sequel.

Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Gary Oldman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, Michelle Yeoh and Danny McBride will once again lend their voices. And joining the voice cast: Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen, and Rebel Wilson.

There is no official plot synopsis yet but the film will likely reunite the panda Po and his biological parents since we learned that they’re still alive at the end of the second film.

Regarding the last episode: we learned that auto-replicating nanobots are behind the loss of electricity, well it’s just a Deus ex machina, a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved… Can’t say am satisfied, but at least they don’t explain it as an act of God!
