The film is directed by Adam Shankman and is starring Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Ackerman, Mary J. Blige, Bryan Cranston, Alec Baldwin and Tom Cruise.

Besides Gerard Butler the film is also starring Jessica Biel, Uma Thurman, Judy Greer, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dennis Quaid. The release date of Playing The Field is set for March 9, 2012.
