Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law have been spotted on the set of Sherlock Holmes 2, the upcoming movie sequel to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes:

In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.”

The film is directed by Michael bay and is starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, and John Turturro. The film will hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

USA Today ran a story about Alvin and the Chipmunks 3: it sounds like Fox is looking for a new director. Anyway there’s something more interesting: the newspaper also claims Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 is expected to shoot in a seaside location, possibly Hawaii. Why on a seaside location? Well because the plot allegedly involves the chipmunks getting shipwrecked.
